Ivybridge Motors were first established on this site in 1958 with the Roots Group, soon to become a British Leyland franchise in the early 1960’s. (which later became Austin Rover, as we know it today).  Ivybridge Motors was serving the community with fuel, mechanical and bodywork repairs in addition to new and used car sales.

In 1994 Ivybridge Motors parted company with Austin Rover and aquired the Skoda franchise.  This lead to the opening of a new site in Plympton, Plymouth.
